What's in the data

Eight signals in one dataset

Five come from what WeedPro users do in the app, combined across users and de-identified. Three come from the WeedPro strain database: strain attributes, dispensary listings and public consumer reviews.

  • Strain views and searches

What people look up and type into search, by strain name, family or flavor.

  • Saves

The strains users keep in their list. A strong signal of real interest.

  • Star ratings

How users rate the strains they try, so you can see where popularity and satisfaction split.

  • Stated purpose

Why each user says they use cannabis: pain and stress, sleep, specific conditions, or recreation.

  • Journal activity

Which strains users come back to log. Journal text is never used.

  • Strain attributes

Type, THC level, terpenes and flavors from the WeedPro strain database, linked to every view and rating.

  • Dispensary listings

How many US dispensaries list each strain, so you can see where consumer demand outruns what menus carry.

  • Consumer reviews

Reported effects and long-run momentum from public consumer strain reviews compiled in the WeedPro strain database.

Use cases

Built for three kinds of decisions

Cultivators

The decision

Which genetics to run next cycle.

The view that helps

Most viewed and highest rated strains, the type, THC and terpene mix consumers favor, and strains rising in reviews.

Example question

"Which classics are consumers searching for but cannot find, and which popular strains disappoint?"

Brands

The decision

Which strains to launch, and how to describe them.

The view that helps

Flavor and terpene demand, the search terms consumers use, and the effects reviewers report by type and terpene.

Example question

"Do consumers search for our strain by name, family or flavor, and which strains do they save alongside it?"

Dispensaries

The decision

What to stock, and how to train budtenders.

The view that helps

Most viewed strains nationally and by state, menu gaps, and which strains the same shoppers save together.

Example question

"Which popular strains do we not carry yet, and what else do fans of our best sellers save?"

POS vs WeedPro

Sales data shows what sold. WeedPro shows why.

Use both. POS data tells you what moved. WeedPro tells you why people chose it and whether it delivered.
